Clever Kiwis counting to 20 in Te Reo Maori

First week of discovery learning.

We have started discovery learning in Room 9 this term. Discovery Learning is a fantastic hands on approach to learning which gives children the opportunity to try things they have never done before. During discovery we are learning to overcome challeges and make sure we are participating in activities. If you would like to help us out during discovery learning time we are looking for more parent help. Take a look at all the fun we had this week.

Go Cart Races!

The Clever Kiwis had go cart races last week. We used the junior go carts and had two teams. Miss Hoieta (our student teacher every Wednesday) and Miss K had a race at the end on the big go carts. It was so funny watching them race. Miss Hoieta won but Miss K was close behind. Then we went inside and wrote a story about the races.

Introducing Clever Wiki!

Clever Wiki is a new member of Room 9. He is our class mascot. We are all very excited to have clever wiki in our class and need to make sure we look after him. Each day before we go home Miss K picks someone who has been an independent learner that day who will get to look after clever wiki the next day. On Fridays Clever Wiki goes home with someone for a whole weekend! We hope you have fun in our class Clever Wiki. Make sure you say Hi to Clever Wiki if you see him around.
