Peter Rabbit

The Clever Kiwi's Beach Trip

We went to Kai Iwi beach to collect shells and driftwood to make some creations in discovery on Fridays. We had so much fun collecting, making sandcastles, writing our names in the sand and playing on the playground. A lot of us had never been on the playground so it was a great place to take some responsible risks. We will hopefully go back in the summer time for a whole day!

Our class garden!!

Our class garden is situated outside the school library. It is part of Room 9's inquiry this term and we want to find out how we can grow the biggest and best garden.
So far we have had to make the soil nice and healthy by putting in fruit scraps, newspaper, soil and peastraw then we planted our vegetables a few weeks later.
The vegetables we have planted are cabbage, lettuce, spring onions and celery. Keep an eye on our blog to see how our garden is going.
